With the warmer weather here, layers are shedding and it can become more challenging to add unique features to your outfits. But there are a few simple and reasonably priced ways to spruce up your outfit and add some flavor. Here are a few…
Swap Your Watch Band
by null
Most of us who wear watches more than likely stick with a solid color band, or just plain brown/black leather. While this isn’t a bad thing, it’s also not exciting either. Try picking up a few different color/striped NATO bands to swap out day-to-day. It’s a 10-second change to make in the morning that makes a big difference.

If you want to go a step further, add some pattern to you band – like these from Vario. We reviewed one not long ago and they have many good options to fit your unique personality.
Put Rope Laces in Your Sneakers
by null
We recently discovered the awesomeness of rope laces. They’re not something you see often, but they look pretty cool depending on the shoe. We both ordered some almost immediately after discovering them.

These can also be had for pretty cheap. Lace Lab is a great place with a lot of options. Just make sure to get a pair that compliments the colors in your shoe, or else they may stand out more than you want them to. And not in a good way.
A Colored Ribbon Belt

At this point, you can sense a theme happening – accessories really do make a huge difference, especially when you don’t have as many options for layering, and adding a non-typical belt to an outfit is a solid enhancement. You should have up a few different options in different colors to swap out and coordinate with your outfits.
Throw on a Hat

We get that not everyone is a hat person. It takes a certain level of confidence (and the right head shape). But if you are open to the idea, throwing on a hat makes a huge difference.

We can’t exactly recommend a particular hat because it really depends on your style and personality. This is NOT a one-size-fits-all. If you’re interested, here’s get some inspiration to see what kinda hat might fit your style.
Putting it All Together

If you choose to wear all of these things together, the keyword here is balance. You don’t need funky patterns in everything. Maybe opt for a patterned watch band and solid colors for your belt and laces.
Also don’t feel the need to do all of these things. Just doing one makes a difference. It’s the small details that will greatly enhance an outfit, so give one of these a try.
